Wednesday, March 26, Shaina had her 14th birthday. We celebrated Tuesday night by going out to dinner at Smoky Mountain Pizza with Grammy, then we had cake and ice cream on Wednesday with Marisa and kids and Laurie. What's significant about 14? I keep telling Shaina it's Saturday Night Dances, but those don't seem to have the same draw as they did in the 1980's. I LOVED Saturday Night Dances, but these days, I have to
make my kids go. And make them I will, because I am sure if they go a few times, they WILL have a good time, right?

By the way, Dalin passed his Eagle Board of Review that night as well, so he is now an official Eagle Scout. YEAH!! Nothing like getting it in just under the wire. Oh well, at least it's done. Do they have honorary Eagle awards for parents?

(I meant to put the next post first, but I can't figure out how to do it, so go ahead and read the next one, too, and pretend it was first! :) )

Shaina you have to at least try the Saturday night dances. I had to be at those dances for at least three years checking kids in - if I can endure it you can and it might be fun. I can't believe you are 14!
Dalin- you made it! You will never regret becoming an Eagle Scout. I have been waiting all of these years for someone to come up with an award for the parents. Congratulations to Brent and JeNeale also. I think that Topher will be the next Eagle. Keep it up boys.
Hey! Tell Shaina Happy Belated Birthday for us!! She is more beautiful every time I see her! We sure miss you all! Tell Dalin Congrats on his Eagle. That is SO awesome! I'm still working on my blog to make it better & have enlisted Taylor for help. She is trying to get some music on mine. Wish us luck!! Talk to you soon! Love to you all!!
I was looking just today at the picture of our kids stacked in a pyramid and wondered where the years have gone. They were all so little and look how they've grown. Congratulations to both of you for accomplishing these milestones, Shaina, that she has survived another year as a teenager, and Dalin, that he made it through Scouts all the way to Eagle, with making his parents pull their hair out.
