I have been grieving over my memory loss for the past couple of months especially. I can remember people's names and faces from my childhood, all of the kids' names and stories from the marching band, and almost all of the people in my new ward (and there's a bunch!), but there are some things I just can't manage to retain in my atrophied brain. For instance, Brent can call me on my way to WalMart to tell me to pick up, say, deodorant, and by the time I have hung up the phone, I have forgotten, necessitating a return trip to WalMart. Shaina left me a huge message written in window marker on my bathroom mirror to get her a haircut appointment. It was there for three days, and everytime I saw it, I promptly forgot about it. And how many times have I walked into a room or opened the fridge and just stood there looking dumb because I can't recall why I'm there? (Ok, I know you've done this, too.) Whatever it is causing the memory problem, it is frustrating, and it's even more frustrating that my husband seems to have caught the same virus. I'm surprised we remember our children's names. Wait. . .these crazies living here
are our kids, right?
Anyway, I have decided that my Hallmark card friend Maxine has solved the memory mystery, and she has given me my new mantra:

Agree? Me, too. Makes me feel better about myself anyway. . .

Hehehehehe....that Maxine is such a wise woman!!!
I only include this comment to get a laugh but hopefully you'll still love your adorable nephew after. Preston came up a minute ago and asked what I was looking at. "This is where Aunt Neal writes about her family," I answered. He studied your cartoon for a minute and then asked,"That's Aunt Neal, right?" Now you can feel old and forgetful:D
Ok, JeNeale, don't forget the girls' pictures!!!
With love,
Your virtual memory reminder
